After I read that scripture, that question popped out inside my head about why some people of different ages got tempted and depart for their faith.
As I read a lot of Christian books, especially about spirituality, some experiences, and based on my analysis. I noticed why.
Lately, in our generation, there are a lot of influences we got through social media's, the Internet, TV shows or movies, and growing up in a different environment.
In the TV shows, I noticed that cartoons or anime making demons, witches, or supernatural creatures depicted them as looking cute or harmless, and even the protagonist got hit by a truck and died as they went to a fantasy world.
I remembered that I encountered some teens admitted to me on social media trying to summon the spirits because they look so cool or wanted a familiar. Some even contemplating going to the fantasy world because their real life isn't great.
When I think about it in a spiritual sense, that's where the 'seducing spirits' came from because they didn't know that those teens opened a gate to their household.
When they opened the gate by doing some kind of rituals as spirits begin to influence their lives, the spirits have the authority to ruin their lives as they make them miserable unless you rebuke them as a believer of Christ.
As Christian, we have the authority to cast them out as Luke 10:19 stated, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and overall the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
Of course, if you don't know how to rebuke the spirits in your household. You can ask the church a request about that. If you are wondering how to cast them out, it is through our prayers and the Holy Spirit help.
I have a lot to say about the spirits or even giving more examples, but it will be very long if I explained it more. I hope that you understand the gist of it so far.
Let's go back to the verse of 'doctrines of devils'. In my perspective, I interpreted that as a false preacher or prophet.
You see, some false pastors, or whoever testifies from the church could make their promises pleasing to our ears.
For example, let's talk about money or our financial needs. There are some videos that I watched a few years ago about a certain prosperity preacher, telling the brothers and sisters to give their money to God so that He will bless them more money as promised.
Well, when it comes to tithes, it's okay to give money to the church if your heart never consumes by greedy thoughts.
After all, the church would use that money to the church's needs and charity, or whatever God's will is how they used the money. If your intention is not aligned to that as you only thought of yourself, it will be a different story.
Let us remind ourselves that God, Himself, did not need money. What you saw the materialistic objects, it already belongs to Him because he created the plants, animals, metals, etc. We only took those privileges granted that he has given to us and make the shape different as hand-made objects. What He needs us to do is following what the Bible says or His Words and repent.
Not only that we should discern the spirits, but the people as well whenever they preached so that our faith in Him would not depart.
Now, let us pray to God to help us discern them so that the enemies would not hinder us through walking with Him.
"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." -1 John 4:1-
